plane ticket woes

I had a moment of panic. I was trying to look for plane tickets for a different flight. I can't get over this stupid 17-hour layover. That, and I know how sad I'll be, not being home during the holidays.

BUT then I thought that maybe I can convince my family to "not let any Christmas happen" until I'm back in the States.

So, I finally hear back from the teacher I'm working with in Australia, which is so exciting!!! We e-mailed back a forth a couple times, discussing what I can contribute and what I can teach while I'm there, and what materials I can possibly bring.  In my last e-mail I tell her to let me know if she thinks of anything else she wants me to bring before I leave.

...she requests Twizzlers and iced tea mix.

I'm loving her already.
